Why the Book of Proverbs

I am creating a page for the reason behind reading the book of proverbs, since I am not Christian and other than being told I was one as a child, never felt as such — even though I truly did try.  I understand TMI … meaning don’t tell any one any thing more than one must disclose … and discretion (currently on day 5 of this experiement / exercise) is something a wise person learns … BUT … transpency which we have lacked so horribly this past eight years :-(

… any way …

It has been said by unnumbered* people over centuries that the book of proverbs is an amazing “how to” book … unfortunately as you can see (day five of the experiment) traslations are as the translator sees through their filter and the words used then – do they mean the same?  LOL!!! they have even been translated in and out of dead languages.

I even found one site that talked about women as though we really are *chattel* of their men … and I mean are as in now – not are as in oops I meant were, cause that’s the way it was written … present tense.

… any way, any way, any way …

TodayIDo … what?  Shoot – it’s 11:42pm my time … I’m goin’ to bed ~ a little lucid dreaming now would be kinda cool … let ya know tomorrow in the proverb :-)   Lucid Dreaming – to know one is dreaming and be able to control the dream to do things one would never expect to (be able to) do in the physical world.  Example:  Flying is WAY cool!!! but flying lucidly means I can fly where I want to go (and SEE what I need to see :-) and know I AM safe … because I am dreaming (-:  AND thus knowing you are dreaming you can even get up an PUBLICALLY SPEAK … LOL!!!  I haven’t gotten THAT far … but maybe … nite, nite friends yet unmet.

* unnumbered – there is no way of knowing how many millions, billions, zillions? of people this “book” may have affected … good as well as bad and maybe some of both as well, being as the age is so very old … The book of proverbs was written about 900 years before our common era (that’s BC to the Christian folk out there ;-)
