Dec. 3, 2008 ~ Wednesday … continuing my lesson in the book of proverbs.  Today is my dear husband’s and my 29th anniversary … so very blessed I am and all ways have been … may not all ways thought so, but just having a crumb or two of gratitude will bring AWESOME blessings no one can deny (-:

… and with that — on with the show …

1 – My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
2 – For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
3 – Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
4 – So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
5 – Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

My truth– God, LORD, Allah, Higher Power, The Universe, All That Is … is?  are? all in one the same {{{GASP}}}  All that is, *Is* the True All Way …  tawn.com calling angels to assist to next level maybe?  Maybe    any way – back to the third proverb.

6 – In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7 – Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
8 – It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
9 – Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
10 – So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

Give gratitude in all things.  Even if all you can start with is a hot cup of coffee or bowl of soup.  Feel genuine gratitude for what you have and what you know is provided as door, windows, drawers, cubby holes and other places opportunity lurk …  it every where ~ it’s every where …

When one takes for granted the blessings in ones life ~ the blessings one thinks they may have are not blessings at all yet when one is truly grateful … blessings are in every thing, person, time & opportunity.

11 – My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
12 – For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son [in whom] he delighteth.
13 – Happy [is] the man [that] findeth wisdom, and the man [that] getteth understanding.
14 – For the merchandise of it [is] better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
15 – She [is] more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
16 – Length of days [is] in her right hand; [and] in her left hand riches and honour.

What are we willing to trade the minutes of our lives for?  I kind of went round and round here until I kept re- reading the 16th … then going back to the 15 ~ she is more precious than rubies … and any thing compared to her … with out life, we have nothing.

Earlier today (before reading this) I was thinking about this very same thing … People work at a job to make a living.  BUT if that job goes away … they still must live … so is the answer more jobs?  Or is it actually something more?  Any way – I digress and must get this done for today … YIKES it is 5:00 and I mean HERE!  not some where else

17 – Her ways [are] ways of pleasantness, and all her paths [are] peace.
18 – She [is] a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy [is every one] that retaineth her.
19 – The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.

#19 resonates loudly   will dream on this one  (-:  as above, so below ~ but wisdom and understanding while being very similar ~ they ARE different.  Why?  heck ~ I dunno at the moment, that’s why the dream need … This is the *faith* part … I don’t need to *know* how a plane fly’s to get on one and travel safely any where the plane is destined to go :-)

20 – By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.
21 – My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:
22 – So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.
23 – Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.
24 – When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.

When I get to parts where I kinda go … hmmm …  — do I go on or keep re-reading it? — for now, I’m goin’ on …

25 – Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
26 – For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.

I am grateful to know I do not need to know how to do everything there is to be done to make our wondrous world operate – to have it be a beautiful world (LINK TO PAGE)

27 – Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do [it].
28 – Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.
29 – Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.

Just as I was reading this, my dear husband was reading an article about food banks begging for donations of baby formula and baby food … please … when you have the power to aid … do so with out thought for “what’s in it for me”

30 – Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.
31 – Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.
32 – For the froward [is] abomination to the LORD: but his secret [is] with the righteous.
33 – The curse of the LORD [is] in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.
34 – Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly.
35 – The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.

I wonder what tomorrow’s proverb will bring?  I am Grateful for … LOL!!!  … every thing!!!!

December 2nd 2008 Tuesday … my belief is truly … god, the lord, our higher power, the universe … has, have, had, and will never have “a religion” … *religion is an institution for humans to put their beliefs into a box they can liken to others … hmmm … of like mind?  Pondering this thought.

1 – My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;

I’m assuming daughter as well   and yes to receiving, but why must one hide these?  Are these part of the *secret* that is truly no secret?  Or is it to walk the talk that is taught, so others learn by ones life not by one’s speech … ? hmmm thoughts to ponder.

2 – So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, [and] apply thine heart to understanding;
3 – Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, [and] liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4 – If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as [for] hid treasures;

This is kind of like the tests in school. 

1) read all activities before completing any (or something like that)

2) through the number before last – a whole bunch of stuff to do.

#last) do none of the above, write name here and turn in. 

OK – I understand, read the entire day’s chapter before commenting … cheese and rice …

5 – Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

… give a man a fish, feed him one day … teach one to fish, feed them a lifetime …

6 – For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth [cometh] knowledge and understanding.

Becuase the *lord does not have a physical mouth, but we are in *his* likeness, does that not mean – WE are (or are supposed to be) to be the(?) a(?) vehicle for others to learn andcome to understand … ?

7 – He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: [he is] a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
8 – He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
9 – Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; [yea], every good path.
10 – When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
11 – Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:

Discretion … transparency  … understanding …

12 – To deliver thee from the way of the evil [man], from the man that speaketh froward things;
13 – Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
14 – Who rejoice to do evil, [and] delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
15 – Whose ways [are] crooked, and [they] froward in their paths:

IF what one does, done, will do … is, has been, will be … on the front page of every newspaper and covered breaking minute by breaking *This JUST In* moment on CNN and all local channels … would you still do what one thinks to do? 

16 – To deliver thee from the strange woman, [even] from the stranger [which] flattereth with her words;
17 – Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
18 – For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
19 – None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
20 – That thou mayest walk in the way of good [men], and keep the paths of the righteous.

Not sure where this is going … but OK   thinking about the fact though that women have been so subjugated over the centuries only gods, goddesses, higher powers, universal pooh-bah, wondrous prophets and teachers know … where was I going?  … ah – yes … {{{ quiet grasshopper – listen with more than what the eyes see – listen with the intent the original words were meant }}} …

21 – For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.

There is no such thing as perfect, but there is the realm of striving to be the best one can be … and the competition is ones current self   What an AWESOME Opponent / Partner (-:

22 – But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.

Go green or die?  We only have our one earth (any one seen Wall-E?  Great Movie)  Today I Do … what?

Today I Do – Begin To – Do It Now Day

I hear reading the book of Proverbs; the chapter corresponding with the day of the month, every month and if the 30th is the last day of any month read the 30th and 31st on the 30th  (-: each day reflect on what you have read … day by day … make notes … what do you think/feel Solomon meant when he *wrote his book* :-) for a year?  Maybe two … I’m not quite sure, since being very much eclectic I believe the message is done when the lesson is learned   will create awesome, miraculous changes in … self (yes) … humanity – it has been said … Let see what happens if we do

Monday December 1st, 2008 the Journey begins – my comments are in italics, unless I make special note, but I hope that will not be too often as that is quite annoying   And thank you for joining my journey, no matter when you happen to come along  (-:

1 – The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;
2 – To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
3 – To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;
4 – To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.
5 – A wise [man] will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
6 – To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
7 – The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of knowledge: [but] fools despise wisdom and instruction.
8 – My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
9 – For they [shall be] an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.

10 – My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.
11 – If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:
12 – Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:
13 – We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:
14 – Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:
15 – My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:
16 – For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.
17 – Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.
18 – And they lay wait for their [own] blood; they lurk privily for their [own] lives.
19 – So [are] the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; [which] taketh away the life of the owners thereof.

Wow – this is really hitting home in this day and age when we have our financial states around the world teetering on the edge of an abyss … Yeowza wowza:-(  the blood shed and death in retail stores at the beginning of the holy days *SALES EXSTRAVAGANZA’S* … come on people, smile on my brother – everyone must love one another ~ right now … we are all one and when we destroy another (ANY other) we destroy a part of our selves.  When we assist (asset) another (ANY other) we assist our selves as the vibration of humanity (which includes every single man, woman and child in the world) rises around the world.

20 – Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:
21 – She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, [saying],

I’m just sayin’ I’m just sayin’ … uh … I mean – I have never read the book of proverbs before (to the best of my knowledge — gosh I feel so … uh, never mind

22 – How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
23 – Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

The exercise is to listen with more than the brain that interprets what the eyes will read.  Each month as one moves through the exercise each chapter *changes*.  What a fantastic time to start reading / experiencing this

24 – Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
25 – But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
26 – I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
27 – When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
28 – Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
29 – For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:

Is this saying choosing ones own fear over learning from the fear of the lord*  (*lord – higher power – all that is – universe ?   Are we still supposed to live in fearof our higher power, the “reason for our existence”, etc. ?  I hope not, but there still is a lot of bad stuff going on in the world

30 – They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.
31 – Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.
32 – For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
33 – But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

Here to learn, but am concerned … being the Evelyn turned Evie who embraced the word evil?  LOL!!!  Meaning Evie the evil Evelyn … NOT to make light (or maybe I am? hmmm … Evie Speak Dictionary / Thesaurus etc to facilitate understanding MY writing – letting alone trying to decipher words written thousands of years and many interpretations ago … It is time to begin to listen with more thn the ears and the brain … it is time to listen with ones heart.

I love you my friend (even if Evie knows not yet who you are) ~ may we try to learn of one another for a year and a month before we decide the other must die?  When you agree we have become friends, will we work to protect each other and those we each love?  Or will one still believe the other must still die for the first to advance … ?

Beginning December 1st, 2008 I will be working an experiment.  I will do the tasks involved with this experiment every day for the next year and a month.  What are the tasks involved?  I will be working the book of Proverbs (LOL!!! and I am not Christian … thank you very much … but I am a believer in the one true way … the one that is true for you … tawn.com

By “working the book of Proverbs” what I mean is each day I will read, transcribe, and think on each chapter that corresponds with that day.  Each day I will make notes that pertain to each chapter.  It has been said this exercise works miracles being one who believes miracles are every day occurances I so look forward to the journey I am to embark upon.
